Job Description: The Schuylkill Banks Program Assistant position is a part-time (28+/- hours per week - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday or Sunday), seasonal position (June-October), that assists SRDC staff with seasonal programming and events (movie nights, riverboat tours and kayak tours), trail maintenance and volunteer efforts on Schuylkill Banks. $11/hour.

Responsibilities: The Program Assistant will interact with regular trail users, volunteers, riverboat/kayak tour participants and tourists; open and close the Schuylkill Banks Center and on-trail restroom; process sales and donations through an online ticketing system; organize and distribute print materials; and set up and break down outdoor seating and tables. This person will also assist SRDC’s maintenance staff with regular trail maintenance tasks, such as litter removal, graffiti removal and landscaping along the Center City, Grays Ferry Crescent and Bartram’s Mile trail segments. The Program Assistant must be able to interact positively with the public at all times, work independently and with a team, and should be able to lift 35 lbs. comfortably to be able to safely assist with the kayak tour program
