In Remembrance of Lane Fike

It is with deep sadness that we share that our dear colleague and friend Lane Fike passed away on January 19. Lane joined SRDC as the Director of Capital Projects in November 2006 after serving for 35 years as a structural engineer and project manager in the Bridge Division in the City of Philadelphia Department of Streets. Lane’s creativity and proficiency is embedded in the iconic Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk, the first major trail bridge constructed in the city. He was most recently working to make the Christian to Crescent cable-stay bridge a reality, and we will miss him deeply at that project opening later this year. Lane’s enthusiasm and dedication to making Schuylkill Banks a premier riverfront destination will live on and continue to positively affect the trail community for generations to come.
