We are thankful for you!
Because of the generosity of our donors, funders, volunteers, and partners, 2019 has been another successful year! Your contributions have further improved Schuylkill Banks, and have helped SRDC and the City:
- design two new sections of the trail and greenway - Bartram's to 61st Street and the Christian to Crescent Connection
- continue to build the Schuylkill Crossing at Grays Ferry
- complete a feasibility study to rehabilitate an industrial pier into a fishing and sightseeing pier
- repair the bulkhead in Center City
- maintain 3.7 miles of existing trail and over 27 acres of greenway with the help of 630 volunteers giving 2,192 hours of their time
- hire a seasonal program assistant, Sawyer Rioux, and a seasonal trail maintenance assistant, Ahzayah Lundsford-Ellis
- provide fun and informative seasonal programming, including the addition of two new programs - the Exploring Our Urban Watershed program held in partnership with the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center and the Gaun First Catch Program run by the PA Fish and Boat Commission
Thank you all for helping to make Schuylkill Banks everything that it is today and for sticking with us as we continue to connect the trail to Bartram's Garden and extend it to Fort Mifflin!
