Portion of Bartram's Mile Closed

A portion of Bartram's Mile near 51st Street and Botanic Avenue has been closed to the public due to a pipe discharging liquid from a nearby property. The discharge is flowing over the trail, making it unsafe for pedestrians and cyclists to pass through this area. The City of Philadelphia and PA Department of Environmental Protection are investigating the situation and working towards a solution. The trail will open back up once the area is clear and safe for use. In the meantime, access Bartram's Garden and points further south from Lindbergh Boulevard and Harley Avenue or from 56th Street and Bartram's Drive.
