Duckweed in the Schuylkill

Jared Brey with Philadelphia Magazine spoke with Laura Copeland from the Philadelphia Water Department about the green plant matter that recently started floating down the Schuylkill. Copeland reports that it is duckweed heading downriver from the upper Schuylkill, where it forms when the river has low flow, as it was this summer.
