Volunteer Spotlight on Bob Swayne!

Bob has been a welcomed addition to the dedicated group of regular Schuylkill Banks volunteers since 2015, helping with trail maintenance and summer programming activities. That wasn't enough for Bob, because this year he has been captivating riverboat tour participants with the history of the Schuylkill River and its role in the history of Philadelphia as a riverboat tour guide. As a retired engineer, Bob knows a thing or two about the buildings, bridges, and boardwalks he talks about on his tour and is able to explain these details to novices and experts alike. Say hello to Bob the next time you are out on the trail, or better yet, reserve a seat on his next riverboat tour on September 28 at 5:30pm!
