What a summer! Thank you to everyone who supported SRDC’s mission by coming out for events on Schuylkill Banks. This year, we were thrilled to host 1,880 movie-lovers at our free outdoor movie nights, 989 attendees of all ages on our fun- and fact-filled riverboat tours, 336 urban adventurers on our kayak tours, over 70 anglers at our fishing meetups with the PA Fish and Boat Commission (new this year!), and 36 participants in our Exploring Our Urban Watershed program with the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center (also new this year!).  And, we had a blast at the Philly Spring Cleanup, Parks on Tap, and the Philly Fun Fishing Fest!

Our events would not be possible (or as much fun) without the help of our enthusiastic program assistant, Sawyer Rioux, and our wonderful volunteers. Special shout-out to Karen, Emily, Meghan, Fran, Bob, and Josh – thank you for your help!!

Even though our programming season is over, there is still plenty to do and see on Schuylkill Banks, especially with the leaves turning into bright reds, oranges, and yellows. We look forward to seeing you out walking, running, biking, playing, and sipping pumpkin-spiced lattes on the trail and greenway!
