Volunteer Spotlight on Bob Sholinsky!

Bob started volunteering with SRDC just over one year ago and has been coming out almost every week since.  Bob and his wife returned to Philadelphia after being away for 18 years. As a lifelong runner, his priority was to find a great place to run. He says that the Schuylkill River Trail is a runner’s dream; scenic, level and safe. He quickly realized, however, that maintaining the trail takes work so he asked if he could help. You can find Bob every Tuesday pulling weeds, helping plant flowers and shrubs, and of course keeping the trail clean. He says watching people enjoy the trail is his reward.

Thank you Bob for your dedication to keeping Schuylkill Banks clean and vibrant! We could not do this work without you and all of the volunteers who so generously give their time to trail maintenance.
