Update on Race St. Crossing Closure

We have been informed by the City that the new equipment needed for the gate repair has been purchased and is in transit to Philadelphia. The installation is scheduled for the week of July 14. It will take about 3 days once the work starts.

The crossing will be OPEN July 2 from 7pm to midnight, and July 4 (Independence Day) from 3pm to midnight to accomodate  the expected crowds on the waterfront.

We understand that the closure has been a major inconvenience for many of you, but we know that the City has been working diligently to address the problem. We thank you for your patience.
