Did you know that 12 percent of all trips in the state of Pennsylvania are by bike or by foot? Trails are an important amenity for Philadelphia and the larger region, providing access to green space and recreational opportunity, environmental benefits, and safe, off-road routes to work and school. On Schuylkill Banks, these benefits are enjoyed by thousands of Philadelphians every week.

Trails are an investment that makes up less than one tenth of one percent of the PA state budget. But the Pennsylvania General Assembly is considering slashing several sources of funding for trails, walking and biking in an effort to balance the budget.

Click here to write your state legislators and Governor Wolf today and tell them to say no to special fund transfers that will defund trails, walking and biking in the Keystone State.

Thank you for helping to protect trail funding!
