Exploring Our Urban Watershed

Saturday, September 4, 2021 -
10:30am to 2:30pm

Get to know the Schuylkill River from a new perspective! In this program, participants will explore ways the native landscape and river served the Lenni Lenape people by creating a mural of the Schuylkill riverbank as it might have looked when the Lenape occupied the land, go on a scavenger hunt for native plants, and examine life in a drop of river water. After lunch (bring your own), participants will embark on an interpretive trek along Schuylkill Banks and get out on the river in kayaks!

Program Schedule:

11:30pm Break for Lunch (bring your own)
12:00pm Leave FWWIC for Guided Walk on Schuylkill Banks
