Please join the City of Philadelphia, Bartram's Garden, SRDC and our partners on Earth Day tomorrow as we cut the ribbon on Bartram's Mile, the newest segment of Schuylkill Banks and The Circuit Trails!
Bartram’s Mile trail and greenway is the first segment of Schuylkill Banks on the west side of the river, stretching from Grays Ferry Avenue, through Bartram's Garden to 56th Street. The ribbon cutting will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, April 22 at the new 56th Street Plaza (56th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard).
11am - Ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Kenney and other elected officials
12noon onward -
Community bicycle ride, marching band, parade and walk along Bartram's Mile
DJ, family activities and light refreshments at the 56th Street Plaza
OTHER CELEBRATION ACTIVITIES
10am to 3pm - Spring plant sale at the Courtyard
11am to 3pm - Free river boating at the Community Boathouse
12pm to 4pm - Bicycle and pedicab rides with the Bicycle Coalition at 56th Street Plaza
1pm to 2pm - Orchestra2001 in the Historic Garden
