Remembering Joe Syrnick
Many of you know that Joe Syrnick, SRDC’s President and CEO for the past 20 years, recently passed away. Joe was more than an extraordinary leader; he was a great Philadelphian. Thank you Joe for your exceptional leadership, civic commitment, and friendship.
Schuylkill Banks is the southernmost eight miles of the Schuylkill River, measured from the Fairmount Dam to the Delaware River. Work is underway to create a continuous trail and greenway along the Banks that connect neighborhoods to each other and to the river. Today, you can walk or roll along 4.5 trail miles and relax within 29 acres of open space. There is something for everyone along Schuylkill Banks.
